Preference of Grade 12 vs. 1A

And finally, the amount of people who preferred Grade 12 versus 1A was equal, with two standouts who couldn't make up their mind. Many preferred Grade 12 because it was easy, less stressful, and senioritis meant they could hang out with friends and have a life outside of academics. Some popular reasons include being able to drive places, not living in Waterloo, and being able to participate in more sports. Conversely, the 1A advocates focused more on the lack of application stress in university. 1A meant no more worrying about scholarships or losing 0.5% on a test. Respondents highlighted the ease of hanging out with people, meeting others with the same mindset, and the freedom that comes with university.
